Deadline : October 31, 2008The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Bonn and the Open Society Foundation (OSF), London are offering a joint scholarship program for graduates and younger scientists (faculty members) from the Republic of Moldova. The aim of the DAAD/OSI program is to improve the quality of teaching and research in social sciences in Moldova and to establish a network between German and Moldovan scientists on the basis of which further international contacts will develop. Three types of scholarships are offered:
Good knowledge of the German or English language is an indispensable prerequisite for successfully studying in Germany. Therefore,
applicants have to pass a language test organized by DAAD after turning in their application. Together with the scholarship
may be awarded a German language course of two months, to be attended in Moldova before the beginning of the stay in Germany.
If necessary, holders of a scholarship can attend an additional language course of two or four months in Germany,
also before the beginning of their studies. Applicants who wish to attend a master course taught in English language need to prove
good knowledge of English submitting the TOEFL test.
